Classic Car Overview
1967 Ford F-250 two wheel drive.
Rust in the typical places. It spent its entire life as a contractors truck in western Washington, so it had its fair share of exposure to moisture. The floors have been treated with POR15 and rust holes patched with fiberglass.
Manual steering, manual transmission, manual choke, hydraulic (non-power) brakes.
352 V8 w/ granny low 4 speed. Since I've had the truck I've done a tune up, plugs, wires, cap & rotor, as well as carb rebuild, new coil, new fuel pump, new in tank fuel sending unit and new water pump. New exhaust manifold gaskets, resurfaced exhaust manifolds and new manual steering box. All new driveshaft U-joints and carrier bearing.
The interior has received the most attention. I gave it a good scrubbing, wanting to clean it up but retain as much of the original character as possible. I installed new weather stripping for the doors as well as new sill plates, new 67 only armrests, new carpet, headliner and dash cover. The original seat has been recovered as well. New window track seals for both doors, each window rolls up and down and the key works for both door locks.
All of the gauges work, the lights and turn signals work as well as the dome light. New heater core, hoses and in cab heat control. The heater and blower motor work. The radio is inoperable.
The topper on the truck is a Fibertop, manufactured by Lynnwood Fiberglass. Ive done a little research and it looks like they expanded their boat building business to include toppers like this for a short time in the 60s.
Overall it runs out good. Shifts and stops as you would expect for a rig that is 57 years with manual everything.
Freshly painted 16 inch FoMoCo steel wheels with original hubcaps and new bias ply tires.
This truck is perfect for someone who wants an old rig to drive and enjoy, and not be afraid to use it as a truck and park it in the Wal Mart or Home Depot parking lot.
I have receipts for the work that has been done and have additional photos available upon request.
I'll be happy to answer any questions.
