Classic Car Overview

For many enthusiasts, the second-generation, aka mid-year (1963-1967) Corvettes are the best. And of those, the 1967 is the top pick thanks to its refinement and several one-year-only features such as the multi-louvered front fenders, the center-mounted back-up light and the console-mounted parking/hand brake. Arguably (or not) the ultimate is a 67 roadster with A/C and the Tri-Power 427 V8 rated at 400 horses, hooked up to a 4-speed stick.

We have just such a car here in this gorgeous 1967 427/400 roadster and this big block bruiser has it all -- looks, personality and condition.

The recipient of a no-expense-spared, comprehensive body-on restoration must be seen. This gorgeous C2 was originally a Goodwood Green car, but the meticulous owner preferred the Marina Blue with White stinger paint scheme, so a show-quality respray was done to that specification.

With its nice even panel gaps, brilliant paint finish, refurbished and gleaming chrome/stainless-steel trim, optional side-mounted exhaust and Bolt On aluminum wheels fitted with radial whitewalls, this classic Corvette is an eye magnet. Underneath, the car is rock-solid, lending further testament to its very pampered ownership history.

Swing open the door and youll think you stepped back in time to 1967, as the fully restored interior looks and feels new. The beautiful Bright Blue upholstery (originally Saddle) complements the exterior color perfectly. Option highlights include the very desirable A/C, power steering, power brakes, leather seating and an AM/FM radio. Note that this is a two-top car, as it comes with the color-matched hard top as well as the white soft top.

Under the hood is that muscle-bound 427 Tri-Power V8. That correct power house is matched to the correct, numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission and 3.55-geared Positraction rear end. Note that this powertrain was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago and the engine was rebuilt with 8.5:1 compression so it runs easily on pump gas as well as nice and cool with the A/C on. The chrome air cleaner cover was missing its 3 x 2 sticker, so we will add pictures of it once we source and apply the proper sticker.

That fresh and well-sorted powertrain starts, runs and shifts incredibly well. Theres nothing quite like the roar of a 427 inhaling through trips and exhaling through factory side pipes while you run up through the gears of the 4-speed. The rebuilt suspension and brakes further add to the great joy of piloting this 427 vette.
