1967 was the highwater mark for the midyear 1963-1967 C2 Corvette production. Chevrolet had refined the Corvette over the previous years, adding 4-wheel disc brakes and big block engines along the way going from 396 cubic inches in 1965 to 427 cubic inches in 1966, and finally the 427/435 horsepower 3x2 barrel carb version in 1967. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette was produced on September 27, 1966, and was delivered to Whipple Chevrolet in Oak Harbor, Ohio. It was then eventually sold through Merrick Chevrolet in Berea, Ohio, on December 19, 1966. This car is powered by the matching numbers L71 427/435 Horsepower JE suffix engine, and it is backed by the matching numbers 4-speed M21 close ratio Muncie transmission and FA coded 3.70 and date correct positraction differential. It came from the factory in the rare color code 980 Elkhart Lake Blue of which 1,096 were produced for 1967. The interior is code 418 Teal Blue vinyl. This Corvette also has optional N14 side mount exhaust, as well as N36 telescopic steering column and U69 AM/FM radio. It includes its original warranty book and Protect-O-Plate verifying the car was built this way. It also includes a NCRS shipping data report verifying the build date and dealer where it was delivered.
