The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!

The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.

Classic Car Overview

This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L36 convertible is an example of Chevys American sports car in its finest vintage droptop form and condition. Its a true, numbers-matching gem in all respects, harboring original big block power under the hood, as well the same showstopping original exterior color and well-appointed interior it began life with. Fire it up and youll find this classic is in fine running condition, strong and smooth, and thats very hard to find in a car of its era. We see far more than our fair share of outstanding classics here and even with that being the case, the sight of this Vette brought a multitude of silent, admiring stares. Its a real standout - its exterior features the same original Marlboro Maroon it rolled off the assembly line with - a distant cousin of red thats rich and exotic and really makes this Vette pull focus in even the most well-heeled of classic car company. The paint is smooth and even everywhere you look and offers a shine that seems to come from a foot beneath the surface. 1967 closed out the second generation of Corvettes and Chevy marked the occasion by giving the final iteration a less ornamented look to better emphasize its outstanding shape - and the update really allows the endlessly appealing hue to take center stage. Of course, chrome is still a key component of nearly any classics appearance and the bumpers, brightwork and badging on display here are all in stellar condition, as is the vinyl convertible top standing by to be put into action to shield you from the elements. The saddle brown interior is a fitting match for the exterior, showing a museum quality appearance while featuring all those ahead of their time styling cues that Chevy lavished upon the model during this era. From the looks of things, not many people have taken their position in the bucket seats - their leather covers show no creasing at all - and the ultra-clean door panels to each side feature armrests that dont appear to have borne the weight of any elbows. The signature double cove shape of the dash has never looked better than it does here. Still sporting their factory configuration, the gauges in the instrument cluster are crystal clear and look great against their spotless black panel, every control knob and switch sits securely in place in top condition and both the vertically mounted AM/FM radio and trademark analog clock are in top form. No wonder theres so much staring going on here. Raise the hood and youll find that the engine compartment is in the very ultra-clean condition youd expect based on the rest of the car. Theres not even a hint of grime inside and the 427 cubic inch V8 sitting inside cuts quite an impression with its own top notch appearance. Of course, the big block is about a lot more than show - with a 4-barrel carb on board, it offered a full 390 horsepower when it left the factory, seriously dampening the temptation for any modification that would compromise this Corvettes all original status. It pairs with the original 4-speed manual transmission and, with a 3.36 posi rear end in back, all that power gets to the pavement with surefootedness. While four wheel disc brakes were seldom seen when this 67 came out, theyre on board here to bring this beauty to fade resistant stops as it impresses on its set of 15 stock Corvette wheels wrapped in beautiful redline radials. Any Corvette is going to be impressive, but this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L36 convertible takes things to a whole new level. Call today!
