Cool Classics: Chevrolet Chevelle

Chevrolet introduced the Chevelle in 1963 as a 1964 model. Though quite large by today's standards, it was classified as a midsize car. What wasn't midsize was the level of passion garnered from the very beginning, a passion that has continued for decades.

Classic Car Overview

INTRODUCTION: Motor Trend magazine feature car! This 67 Chevelle has just 2,400 miles on a meticulous body-off-frame rotisserie build, executed by top professionals in their respective fields. Starting with the 140th Chevelle produced at the California plant in 1967, it enjoyed a California life before being expertly restored in the Golden State.

EXTERIOR: This Chevelle is a true mirror on wheels. The body has been completely smoothed and slicked out-every emblem, trunk lock, handle, antenna, and even the rain gutters have been shaved for a seamless look. Every inch of the body is straight with no bubbling, cracking, or signs of poor workmanship. Panel alignment is precise. The doors and trunk operate via remote, while the bumpers and moldings are blackout for a stealthy, aggressive appearance. The bumpers are even smoothed out and a custom front spoiler was fabricated. All the glass has been replaced, its smoked, not stick-on tint. The car rolls on Pilot Sport tires with Forgeline wheels: 19x8s up front and 20x12s out back.

INTERIOR: The interior of this 67 Chevelle is a standout, completely custom-crafted by Riverside Custom & Classic Auto Interior, who delivered exceptional design and fit. Every surface is covered in high-quality leather, including the sculpted door panels, while four matching Procar Rally seats are split down the middle by a handcrafted center console. The console houses the TCI Outlaw shifter, along with neatly integrated ignition, power window, and headlight switches. The fully custom dash features a clean, modern set of gauges and Vintage Air controls, all complemented by a stylish steering wheel mounted on a brushed aluminum tilt column. The design theme continues seamlessly onto the rear shelf and headliner, tying the whole cabin together. Racing belts keep you securely in the contoured seats-perfect for spirited driving on curvy roads-while a unique, durable fabric covers the floor, combining style and practicality.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay of this 67 Chevelle is nothing short of breathtaking-and it makes you want to take it for a spin immediately. At its heart is a stout 6.0-liter LQ4 block, built for serious performance with Manley forged crank and rods, SRP pistons, a Comp cam, prototype Gale Banks Engineering heads, roller rockers, and a GMPP timing set. With 9:1 compression and a Kenne Bell Mammoth supercharger running 10 psi-blueprinted and finely tuned-along with a 102mm throttle body, CBM computer, GM coils, and Edelbrock headers, the pro builder estimates a solid 700 750 horsepower at your command. The front of the motor features a polished serpentine pulley system driving the alternator, air conditioning, and billet power steering pump. Additional details include a catch can system with braided lines, custom coil covers, and an aluminum radiator paired with an electric fan to keep it running cool. The entire engine bay is smoothed and detailed with custom-fabricated metal, painted gloss black, while billet hinges lift the hood effortlessly-every inch of this space is as functional as it is show-stopping.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is fully detailed and completely boxed, with upholstery that perfectly matches the interior, including under the trunk lid. Even the hinges are polished billet, adding a refined, high-end touch that complements the overall custom craftsmanship. Every detail reflects the same level of care and precision found throughout the car.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off of the frame and every item was upgraded. The front end has Heidts 2 inch drop spindles, tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, and a splined swaybar. In back the frame was narrowed 5 inches per side, gusseted and reinforced to accommodate the wide tires. Upgraded with a 3 link system with adjustable panhard bar, adjustable control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, and a splined swaybar. Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes with big drilled and slotted rotors, 6 piston calipers in front, 4 piston in back. The exhaust is custom made, ceramic coated 2.5 pipes with crossover and Flowmaster mufflers. A custom fuel tank and an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump feeds the beast under the hood. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. The Turbo 400 automatic was pro built and has a 2800 stall and aluminum finned oil pan. In back is a Harrison Racing Fab 9 rear end with Detroit Locker 3.50 gears. The fabricated floors were coated in durable chip guard paint.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: This 67 Chevelle is the ultimate blend of show-stopping style, modern performance, and meticulous craftsmanship. With a flawless body, jaw-dropping custom interior, and a supercharged 700+ horsepower engine, its built to turn heads and dominate the road.
