1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS The Chevelle was introduced in 1964 and quickly went on to be one of Chevrolets most successful nameplates. The first generation spanned from 1964 to 1967 but in 1966 got a complete restyle with a new broad grill, smooth contours, curved side windows, new bumper treatment and more. It was more a Coke bottle body shape which was the fad for American cars in the mid-60s. In 1967 it received more of a facelift which included a redesigned rear end with wraparound taillamps. This 1967 Chevelle is a very nice car and is a factory 138 code super sport. It is painted in its correct F code Bright Blue paint and the body is all solid and all rust free. From the chrome bumpers to the hood trim all of the brightwork throughout is in excellent shape with a great shine. The glass on it is all good and it has a factory ordered front tinted windshield. It has all of its factory SS badging nicely mounted in place with the 396 emblems as well. All of the lights on it work properly with no issues. The car has a great stance and rides on a set of nicely chromed Rally wheels with Grand Prix Performance GT tires. Underneath the hood the car has a date correct 396 motor that runs great. This is not its numbers matching motor but is the correct motor for the car. The block/heads are nicely painted and fitted with nice chrome valve covers, 396 chrome air cleaner, and a Weiand intake with a 4 barrel carburetor. It runs nice and cool thanks to the aftermarket aluminum radiator. The car has factory power brakes and slow the car to a stop smoothly. Backing up the motor is a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission that sends power back to the 12 bolt rear end. It is a great driver and doesnt smoke or have any issues. It sounds good too through dual exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. Inside the car it has factory bucket seats and is the code 731 medium bright Blue upholstery which is in excellent condition throughout. Matching Blue lap belts are in place in both front and rear. Between the seats is its factory center console which provides a storage compartment, houses the Hurst shifter, and also has the clock. The dash is all nicely painted and topped off with its matching Blue dash pad. It has its original gauges but added ones have been put in place below the dash for the temp, oil pressure, amp and tachometer. The trunk has a nice Black mat in place and offers plenty of space for all your car show gear. The car comes with some of its original paperwork and an Ecklers Chevelle parts book. This beautiful car has a lot to offer and being a true SS definitely puts it at the top of the list. In the world of muscle cars the Chevelle SS is very desirable so get it while you can.
