1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Original ‘138’ serial number SS 396 car.  The original color Nantucket Blue has a great shine and shows beautifully.  This was a numbers matching car when I purchased in November 2012, restored in 2004 (original appraisal included).  In 2013, it was upgraded to a GM Performance Deluxe ZZ 502 crate engine with 502+ hp/567 torque and a Keisler RS 500 5-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, just for bragging rights.  But not to worry, the original L35 396 engine and M21 Muncie 4-speed trans will be included with purchase -both operated just fine before the swap (although the original Quadrajet carb was replaced by a superior Holley).  An original looking, oversize Griffin aluminum radiator ensures reliable cool running.  Many other original parts and a documentation binder with original owners manual, warranty booklet/Protect-O-Plate, dealer brochures, etc., are included, as well.

The original color blue vinyl interior is stunning with the bench seat, door panels, headliner, padded dash, etc. all in excellent condition.  This car has the the original N33 Comfortilt steering, which is rare on the SS.  I also installed the correct A39 optional Deluxe seat belts at a cost of over $750 to enhance the already beautiful interior.  Although produced with the U14 instrumentation package, the vitals are more easily seen on the 3 Auto Gage instruments stealthily mounted under dash.  The previous owner already had professionally installed a retro AM/FM radio with ipod cable, and a set of 4 speakers with amp.

From the factory, this amazing car was produced with a G81 3:55 12 bolt positraction rear end, N40 power steering, J50 power drum brakes, and the F40 heavy duty suspension package.  Also recently installed, are larger diameter, heat treated sway bars, and a new, closer ratio steering box, pump and reservoir for greater stability and drivability.  Correct 15” Rally Wheels compliment the period red stripe BF Goodrich tires.  The floor pan and extra clean trunk are very solid.  In the rear, check out the unused jack and spare tire, just like it came off the showroom.  Finally, a Pypes Performance 2 ½” stainless steel, all welded X-pipe exhaust system, including tailpipes polished to a mirror shine, complete an awesome sounding package.

This car easily passes the state safety inspection every year!  Car is extremely clean and meticulously cared for, and has been continuously garaged and covered.  Excellent running, extremely powerful, and has been driven only in fair weather.
