Classic Car Overview
This car is not perfect, and you'll find flaws. It's a solid seven all day long and well put together. It fires up the first time, every time, and I cruise hours from home without a worry. This Camaro (not an SS) was born plain Jane and original motor was a 327. I purchased in 2003 with approx 62K original miles. It's been garaged by me for over 20 years and previous owners garaged as well; I am the 3rd owner. The 502 has 4,110 and total chassis miles are 73,854. This is NOT an SS. This car is built around a Sallee Chevrolet Performance Super Street 502 BBC providing 618 HP and 579 lb-ft of torque. Aluminum oval-port heads, Edelbrock Victor Jr. 454 intake, Crane camshaft and MSD ignition.
Ron Davis Racing radiator with dual fans and a custom shroud; March Performance aluminum pulleys and brackets; PowerMaster CS performance alternator; AED Competition Super-Mod 750 carburetor; ARG steering with variable-ratio 16:1 - 13:1 gearing; Hydratech braking assist; and Lemons race headers.
The drivetrain includes a Bowtie Overdrives Level 3 200-4R transmission with Extreme Duty torque converter and cast-aluminum pan; Shiftworks shifter; heavy-duty driveshaft from Dennys Driveshafts; Moser 12-bolt rear end with 33-spline Moser axles, Eaton posi, 3.73 gears, and a 1350 yoke. The car also has SSBC brakes front and rear and QA1 coilovers.
Fuel is supplied from a custom-built Ricks Hot Rods stainless-steel tank with an in-tank Aeromotive A1000 high-performance pump.
Paint and body are in very good condition. Interior is clean and OEM crisp. Entire cabin, to include door panels, is lined with sound deadening. AutoMeter gauges.
