Classic Car Overview

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS DGC7014 VIN (124677N117014) Convertible was delivered new to Chevrolet Engineering and is said to have remained in storage from 1981 until its acquisition in 2007 by the seller. The seller commissioned a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2016. The car is finished in Bolero Red over red vinyl and powered by a numbers-matching 350ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission Additional features include the Rally sport equipment package, the Z23 Interior Decor package, a power-operated soft tip, a push-button AM-FM radio, center console, hideaway headlights, and 14 Rally wheels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps. The NCRS Shipping Data Report, a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturers literature, service records from current ownership, and the car itself are included. The car received a single-stage repaint in the factory shade of Bolero Red reportedly following the installation of replacement quarter panels and front doors. The Super Sport package added non-functional hood vents, nose striping, and exterior badging on the fenders, grill, and fuel cap, while the Rally Sport package included vacuum-operated headlight covers, lower side moldings, and black trim. A rear fender-mounted antenna and remote-operated drivers side-view mirror are fitted with Ceramic coating. Silver-finished 14 Rally wheels wear polished trim rings and hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone Redline tires. A full-size spare tire is located the trunk. The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red vinyl with black accents. A matching replacement dashboard, door panels, and loop carpets are protected by Camaro-branded floor mats. The car was optioned with a factory center console, and additional amenities include lap belts for all occupants, a push-button AM/FM radio, and a locking glovebox. A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7,000-rpm tachometer. A trio of auxiliary instrumentation is situated in the center console, featuring an analog clock and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer was reset to zero during the refurbishment and currently indicates 7,000 miles. The total mileage remains unknown. The engine block stamping 117014, as displayed above corresponds to the final six digits of the chassis number visible in the gallery below. The MU suffix to the right signifies a 350ci 295 horsepower V8 engine designed for automatic transmission applications. A custom 3-inch exhaust system has been installed. The NCRS Shipping data report, presented above, indicates a production date of October 17, 1966, as well as the initial delivery to Chevrolet Engineering. The engine underwent a comprehensive rebuild, including line boring of the block for a large journal crank, installation of a 383 stroker rod set and lighter pistons, and other modifications. This transformation has significantly enhanced the vehicles performance, resulting in exceptional acceleration. As I continue to examine this car, my appreciation for its unique features and capabilities has grown exponentially.
