1967 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe
With all the hoopla surrounding the new Camaro 1LE, let's look back at the original.
The story of the ZL1 Camaro, fitted with that rarest of the rare, all-aluminum 427 big-block V-8, is one that has often been told: How only 69 were made, how they exploited the GM option-ordering system, and how they've become the Camaro guy's ultimate Camaro.
Classic Car Overview
History: This stunning '67 has just completed a total restoration. Beginning on a rotisserie, every imperfect metal part or piece was replaced. Then epoxy primed and painted inside and out, and then wet sanded and buffed to a deep gloss mirror finish. During restoration new parts were used extensively. Now complete, the '67 is a virtually new classic muscle car whose sweet sound and beauty will turn heads everywhere she rolls.
Exterior: Fresh Cherry-Burgundy Pearl metal flake paint with wide black stripes and heavy clear coat. In full sunlight this car is gleaming. Almost every exterior part is new, including; all chrome, labels and emblems, tires and 17" American Racing Torque Thrust II rims, tail lights, front and rear spoilers, grille, headlights, gas tank, Flow Master exhaust, power front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, break lines, shocks, rear leaf springs, door mirrors, door gaskets and window felt, engine mounts, body bushings, and 2" front and rear drop kits.
Interior: The seats were re foamed and the seats and door panels were covered with new "deluxe " factory black interior with white trim. Also new are; the black carpet, upgraded floor mats, dash mat, headliner, sail panels, sill plates, AM/FM Bluetooth radio and package tray with speakers. The console has the classic "Horseshoe" shifter and the dash and console have been meticulously restored.
Engine and Drive Train: 327 V8 and turbo 350 automatic with shift kit. The engine originally was a 300 hp corvette motor. The motor has been freshly rebuilt and has; a performance cam, headers, an Edelbrock 650 carb with electric choke, an Edelbrock aluminum high rise intake, Mallory ignition, a new vintage air system, chrome pulleys, and a high flow aluminum radiator with auxiliary electric fan. The engine compartment is immaculate. All hoses, belts, and wires are new.
