Buick Skylark models from the late '60s and early '70s are the real bargains when it comes to classic cars. Each time I start looking at old cars, I gravitate toward the Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile F-85 and Pontiac Catalina.

Classic Car Overview

My father found this car in a barn in North Carolina in 2021. The last time it had been registered was 1982, so, it sat for nearly 40 years. He passed away shortly after getting it so he couldn't do much with it. I inherited it on his passing and finished it in his memory. This is a wonderful cruiser and ready for a new home. The original 300 V8 engine and transmission have been freshly rebuilt. It also has a new dual exhaust. The tires including the spare are new. It has a 2-speed automatic on the column. It has a full front bench seat. Seat upholstery is in near new condition. The carpet and convertible top are new. The dash has some cracks on the passenger side. The chrome trim at the top of the windshield has some rust. However, I have the new replacement trim pieces still in the package. The paint is not original and is showing its age but still looks very good. The body is in great condition with no rust. It has fender skirts. It has a new tonneau cover for top-down cruising. Lights, turn signals, heater, radio, and horn all work. I upgraded the radio to a modern radio with Blue Tooth. I still have the original radio if you wish to return it to stock. The odometer is showing 29000 however, I'm sure it has rolled over at least once. Given it sat for nearly 40 years it's not likely to be more than 130,000.
