Under the rear hatch is a 1300cc air-cooled Flat-4 that has been professionally bored to 1600cc, mated to a smooth-shifting 4-speed manual transmission. This car has been meticulously gone through and features a host of recent updates: a new flywheel (2020), new fuel pump and fuel tank (2020), all-new spark plugs and distributor, new pistons and cylinder heads, single port cylinder head and new camshaft, new synchro rings for 1st through 4th gear, new intake manifolds, new starter, oil cooler, and a powder-coated engine shroud all completed in 2021. Additional highlights include a disc brake conversion kit, new alternator, new chrome wheels, a fresh repaint (2020), new transmission mounts, swing axle, heater box, muffler, and so much more.
