Classic Car Overview
Runs. (not *that* great, but it runs) Purchased last year.
This would be a great project car for someone who has the funds and/or the ablity to do the work themself.
This solid FJ40 has a lot of potential to unlock.
Has a beautiful rust and oxidized paint patina and it's only fully rusted-through in one spot that I know of, (below the rear tailgate - as shown in 2 pics).
Bench seats were upholstered in a perfect rust color fabric, right before I purchased it.
NEW: Clutch assembly, (replica of) original 2bbl. Weber carburetor, fuel tank, fuel sending unit, fuel guage, starter, rear pinion seal, all u-joints, points, spark plugs, battery cables, seat belts, window guide felt and shocks (not installed yet)
Also comes with the 2 rear side window panels, (not pictured) but has _no_fiberglass_top_ or back window.
NEEDS: 6cyl. has low/no compression in the rear 2 cylinders and engine will surely need to be rebuilt. I do not know if the cylinder walls are scored or not.
Again, it does run right now.
Also needs new exhaust system, radiator flush and theromstat. Turn signals, horn and wipers not working. Temp, oil pressure, voltage guage, odometer not working.
Speedo, and gas guage work. Brakes work pretty well.
I do not know if the 4wd works, but my best guess is that it does.
Truthfully, that's all I can think of, but it will probably even need a little more love than that.
