1966 Sunbeam Alpine V for sale by Left Coast Classics finished in classic red with a black interior.
The 1725cc Inline 4 starts and runs beautifully with excellent compression and plenty of power being fed by a proper set of Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The suspension, braking (front discs, rear drums) and handling feel good and tight and the car rides on a newer set of 8-spoke Rota Wheels with Kumho Ecsta AST 205/50 R15's.
The car shows well. The body is super straight and tidy with no rust or issues. It was properly color-changed from its original #100 Mediterranean Blue to red sometime in the last 5-10 years yet looks much more recent. The jambs were all properly repainted though the original color can still be found under the dash on the firewall and the trunk floor. The Rota 8-spoke wheels give the car a great look. Underneath the Alpine, it has a super solid, unrestored original undercarriage with no rust or rot anywhere. There is one very small patch panel under the driver's floor. It has super solid inner rocker panels and excellent bones underneath. Overall it this is a nice-looking Alpine.
The interior looks like it was probably redone in the 1980s. The top frame is included. The seating is in good condition along with the dash. Rugs look to be in decent condition as well. The car has working gauges and lighting. The trunk looks mainly complete including a spare tire and two covers. While comfortable and usable as-is it could use a refresh soon.
