Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Classic Car Overview

1966 Studebaker Cruiser 4 Door Sedan Green and White DGC0515 VIN C530515. 400 Small Block Chevy V-8 and Automatic Transmission. Power steering. Disc brakes on the front with with the split brake master cylinder. This is a really clean Studebaker. The car has been repainted, but I think a lot of the car is pretty original. The body is straight and I havent found any signs of rust in the body. Ive driven this car a couple of times now and Im really impressed with how quick it is. There is some minimal wear and tear on the interior, but its in great shape for the most part. Clean engine compartment. Everything seems to work on this car with the exception of the original radio, windshield washer, and the lighter. A CD stereo has been added under the dash. The windshield washer may work fine but is missing the reservoir to hold washer fluid. This car is blast to drive and really accelerates when you put your foot into the gas. The pervious owner replaced the front bench seat with buckets and made it more comfortable. Great looking Chevy rally wheels with lots of rubber on them. This is a car that you hardly ever see, be the only one at the next car show you attend. Cond. #3.
