Classic Car Overview
If only cars could talk and tell their history, the stories they would have. This incredible time capsule 1966 Belvedere, luckily can talk and share her stories. This Belvedere can be traced with documentation back to its original owners who won a raffle on December 22, 1965. The family, like who most entered a raffle, did not expect to win. To their surprise when they won the raffle, they immediately made plans to sell the 2 door Belvedere you see pictured. The raffle winning family required a 4 door car to fit their growing family. Luckily a local family stepped up, and on 1-13-1966, all paperwork had been transferred, and the new family took ownership of their brand new 2 door white Belvedere when it arrived at Monroeville PA Chrysler Plymouth dealership. This same family meticulously cared for, stored, and maintained this gem since when the car was new in January 1966 until now. This is such a rare opportunity for a car with so well of a documented history to come up for sale. From grandfather, to son, to grandson, and now the Belvedere is looking for the right family to carry on the new legacy of its life. So you will be the fourth owner , but the first owner outside of a well documented same family car since 1966. This Belvedere in 1966 was light on factory options, but as time turned, that made this Belvedere more rare. Coming off the Chrysler assembly line, this Belvedere boasts a slant 6 225 Cubic Inch 6 cylinder engine, paired to a 3 speed manual transmission. The Belvedere is a three on the tree shifter, with manual brakes, and manual steering. Do not let the scaled down factory options from 1966 fool you, the meticulous maintenance through almost 60 years make this Belvedere a breeze to drive. The Belvedere still proudly wears her original paint, and her original interior. The interior is a sight to behold. The headliner, door panels, and seats are all in amazing condition. For a family to keep an interior this pristine for almost 60 years, shows the incredible amount of care that went into the cars preservation. The floors were undercoated years back to protect the car. Although the undercoating is starting to peel, the floors are solid as can be. Please remember while viewing the underside of the car, that is a super solid original floor and trunk pan in this Belvedere. The undercoating is what you see peeling on the underside pictures. The family even made an additional trunk liner and placed it over the original trunk liner. Original fender tag and Chrysler Certicard are present and included with the car. Please look through the pictures and enjoy this timeless classic, but lets not forget the amount of care and time it takes to keep a car this original through three generations of sons. Generational family cars like this one rarely come up for sale. Any more documentation, or questions please reach out to the sales team, and you can see more pictures and videos at www.maxmotive.com
