Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

1966 Lincoln Continental  4 Door Convertible  Ivy Green Exterior.  Ivy Gold Leather Interior.  Black Top with glass rear window and plastic window sunroof.  AM/FM Stereo Radio with Electric Antenna. Rare Factory No Air Conditioning. Overall a complete car except missing one wheel cover and fan shroud. Exterior has some body rust. Undercarriage clean with surface rust. Exterior stainless steel trim good to excellent. Top works except flapper goes up but doesn’t come back down when putting top down. Replaced some hydraulic hoses from complete hose kit for top which comes with car. Also replaced gears and housing for flapper motor. Windows work except driver’s side vent window. Driver’s door window motor needs reinstalled, plug needs repaired, was cut off. Regreased motors and kits installed. All switches work. Interior will need door panels and rear seat put back in. Electric antenna motor needs reassembled and installed.Engine bay cleaned up and replaced  intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets. Inside of engine very clean indicative of low mileage. Have new spark plug wires, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Original points in excellent condition. Haven’t tried to start engine yet as radiator leaks and wanted to clean out fuel lines first as well. Has small rust hole in firewall near where battery resides. If I think of anything more I’ll add it to the description. This is a very good starting point for a restoration project. Great investment. I will consider all reasonable offers. No trades. Thank you.
