The 1966 International Harvester 1000D was a popular -ton Light Line pickup truck, offering a range of engines and wheelbases, including a 119-inch chassis for the Travel-all station wagon. The 1000D is part of the D-series lineup.

Exterior:
From factory, the truck was finished in Alpine White (9120), still wears the same paint which shows some age and patina. Brings the whole farm truck vibe truly together. Equipped with a stepside bed, additional exterior details include front reenforced bumper, and oversized tow mirrors. The 1966 IH pickups featured a boxed, no-nonsense design that emphasized functionality over flash. It had a distinct grille with horizontal chrome bars, square headlight bezels, and a flat, broad front end.

Interior:
The cabin appears to remain largely original, with no visible modifications other than new black carpet and black upholstered original door panels. Original door pulls, and window cranks remain in place. The factory gauges and controls are still in place. The dash fascia has splits and cracks throughout. The seat upholstery and interior hardware have held well for their age, the steering wheel shows its age but brings the originality of the truck together.

Drivetrain:
The original 241 ci I6 engine (BG241) remains in place and offered 141 horsepower with 223.5 lb.-ft of torque which delivered a reliable amount of power for general-duty work back in the late 60s. These trucks were widely known for their longevity and toughness, with many still being found in working conditions today. They were typically used for farm work, construction, and general utility purposes. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual on the column.

Brakes:
Stopping power is provided by front and rear drums.

Suspension:
The trucks were known for their solid, heavy-duty leaf spring suspension, providing excellent durability, especially under heavy loads. These trucks were often used in rough rural conditions, and their suspension was designed to endure tough working environments.

Wheels and Tires:
It features 15 painted wheels with International Hub cabs.
