Vehicle Overview

This Shelby GT350 Vin #SFM6S2195 has been in the immediate family for almost 50 years. One color change in 1980 to candy apple red with wimbledon white stripes. All Original drive train and all original sheet metal. New headliner installed in 1980. Recently rebuilt original Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, rear koni shocks, new tires and complete exhaust system up to Hooker headers. All car-lite glass. New fuel tank and all hoses. Original M-1 underride traction bars. Original radiator with replacement hoses. Ford serial number stamped on driver fender corresponds with Shelby serial number verified by SAAC.

Mechanical

Valve lash adjustment, good compression in all cylinders. Original dual point distributor converted to single point. All fluids changed and new plugs installed. New starter, fuel pump, new emergency cable, oil sending unit, windshield washer pump, replaced both engine motor mounts, shifter boot and clutch release lever boot. Block stamped C5AE-6015-E with Ford Vin stamped 6R09K1912XX. Casting on 4-speed is T10H-1 with a replacement bell housing. Differential Tag reads DSC-C6ZX-8:

Exterior

Color change in 1980 from factory blue to candy apply red. Good driver quality paint with touch up on trunk and top of front driver fender. Half dozen pin hole size rust spots on driver side lower quarter panel, does not show up in pictures. New rear bumper and back-up light switch. All exterior lights work properly, including back-up lights and 4-way flasher.

Interior

Good condition of all interior parts, including vinyl seats and door panels, dash pad and carpeting. Rebuilt heater box and hoses. All electrical lights, turn signals, 4-way flashers and back-up lights work. All windows and door locks work properly. Rear window seal replaced and hood cowl seal replaced. All interior lights work properly. Odometer reads 8930 TMU.

The reasoning behind Autotraders starting price may be because there are not many 60 year old cars that still have all original sheet metal, complete original drive train, orig. radiator, M-1 traction bars, distributor, working radio and Shelby tach.

I did not start the bidding at this price point. This was put in by Autotrader. I had only put in a reserve price. This is the first time I have used Autotrader.
