Classic Car Overview

1966 Ford Mustang Convertible
A Timeless Classic with a Soul
(car is in Webster County, Iowa)

Step into a piece of Americana with this stunning 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, finished in the original elegant Springtime Yellow exterior, paired with a sleek black interior. The convertible's individual aesthetic and the iconic Mustang silhouette have made it a significant part of automotive history. This isn't just a car, it's a cherished legacy.

From the factory the car came very well equipped with a C code 289 V8 engine, power steering, power top and 3 speed automatic transmission.

Purchased from the original owner in 1968, it has since been owned by the same passionate caretaker Iowan family to this day...57 years! This Mustang has been a standout in dozens of hometown parades and high school homecoming events and has been lovingly cared for and preserved. Every curve, every detail, every rumble of the engine tells a story of fun, devotion and timeless style.

During the winter months, this beauty has been safely stored in a climate-controlled warehouse, ensuring its pristine condition year after year. A 2002 meticulous full restoration was done with care and precision, maintaining the authenticity of the original design and spirit while enhancing its reliability and performance. It has been driven less than 5,000 miles since the 2002 restoration.

The overall condition of the paint, interior, underside and under hood is very good to excellent. There are a few very small scratches in the paint (called out in the photos), some minor wear on the interior, the trunk looks nearly new and under the hood is clean as well. Only minor surface rust is present on the undercarriage.

Whether you're cruising down the highway with the top down or showcasing it at a classic car event, this Mustang turns heads and sparks conversations. It's more than a car, it's a symbol of freedom, nostalgia, and enduring craftsmanship. A true collectors dream and a joy to drive.

Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of history that has been cared for like family. This Mustang is ready for its next chapter.
