Classic Car Overview

VIN:  6T08C256289

This is a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible with vintage burgundy paint and parchment Pony interior.  It also has a color matching parchment vinyl top that has never been down, along with the original tonneau cover!  The electric convertible top is raised and tested each month to ensure proper working condition.  This car has only 5,600 miles since the ground-up restoration was completed in August 2010.  This is an occasionally driven show car (about 400-500 miles per year) and always garaged and trailered to car shows.

This classic comes with the original and powerful V8, 289 2V-C-Code, 200 horsepower rebuilt engine, 2 barrel carburetor and original rebuilt C-4-Automatic transmission.  This car also comes with power steering, power brakes, day-night rearview mirror, drivers and passenger side mirrors, Magnum 500 replica wheels with original center hubs and jack.  This car was produced on May 5, 1966 in Metuchen, NJ and the undercarriage looks like it came off the showroom floor!  Rust preventive coating with POR-15 was used during restoration.

All body metal is original and is 100% rust free and restoration pics are available as proof of claim.  This car spent 40 years in Texas and has never been in the rain since 1984!  The seller is the third owner and has all maintenance paperwork dating back to 1978 and the names of all owners dating back to 1968.  Also included with the car is a period correct shop manual.

This classic pony underwent an extensive 5.5year ground-up restoration with over 6500 man hours of labor using 90% original parts.  All parts, interior and exterior, including the paint, with base coat and clear coat is in near-mint condition! This collector's classic is a top award-winner at every major indoor and outdoor national event throughout the east coast of the United States that it participated in!  This car has been in 70 car shows and has received 70 trophies!  This car is a Gold winner in its category at the Mustang Club of America’s 2019 Grand Nationals in Fredericksburg, VA from August 30 - September 1, 2019!  Trophies will go with the car when sold if new owner would like them.

This car comes with a buck tag on left top inside fender showing factory air was included.  It also comes with original working air conditioning interior components, original rally pack, and original console with custom armrest/cup holder.  The original air compressor was replaced and this car received a front disc brake conversion while retaining its rear drum brakes. Front and rear bumpers were replaced with replicas, but original bumpers come with the car for the purist.  The original optional AM radio and original spare tire is also included.  I also have over 200 pics during the restoration of the car.

This beautiful classic has never been in the rain and runs like brand new!  There are three major airports near Washington, DC, (Baltimore, Washington National, and Dulles International), all within one-hour drive from my home.  You can also fly into Hagerstown, MD as well.  Delivery is possible depending where you live for a fee. Price is NEGOTIABLE for motivated seller.  All serious offers will be considered.
