Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.

1982 Mustang GT

Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

Classic Car Overview

Just in time for Spring, our numbers-matching, clear-titled 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. 200 ci six-cylinder engine matched to a three-speed automatic transmission and the then-optional Ford factory A/C and "Parchment" interior. Recent restoration included new base/clear "Signalflare Red" lifetime warranty paint, along with the following new parts: OEM chrome bumpers and trim, tires, boot, brakes, plugs, power steering pump, fuel pump, plug wires, carburetor, fuel sending unit, tie rod ends, lower control arms, bushings, distributor cap, points & condenser, transmission band & carpet. We have "before" and "after" pictures of the restoration for review. We installed a period-correct look modern am/fm/Bluetooth/Sirius-enabled radio and speaker with a new antenna. We also have the original radio and antenna. This is a rare numbers-matching vehicle and the car is configured per the VIN plate. The power top works flawlessly and is in excellent shape. The only negative is the horn would honk on occasion while turning. After multiple trips to our mechanic and trying ourselves, we could not solve it. It is disconnected currently. There is no rust in or outside the car and the vehicle has been garaged and covered since we have owned it for the last 4 years. The sale will include the custom car cover. Asking $25,000.00 which is way below "Average Retail" for this year and model! The "99,999 miles" is not actual. We do not know the true mileage.
