1966 Ford Mustang Fastback
Fastback Car for sale in Fallbrook, California 92009
Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.
Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

Classic Car Overview
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback $17,900
1966 Mustang Fastback. I've owned this car for eighteen years and hand built the engine from a bare block. The body is straight and mostly rust free. There are some small rust spots in the trunk. Prior to owning the car a portion of the floor was replaced. There is minor damage to the left and right quarter panel caps. The driver side damage is limited to only needing a corner cap replacement. The passenger side quarter panel needs some more attention beyond the corner cap replacement. Driver side quarter panel has old body shop repair work (guessing in the 80's) that has not held up and will need attention.

This engine was built in 2007. Following it's build I made three passes with the car. The best being 11.20 @ 121MPH with a 1.6 60FT on 91 octane pump gas. This engine has never seen nitrous and has never overheated. I've driven the car about 500 miles since that build in 2007. I travel extensively for work and have had no time for the car. It has been garaged and driven on rare occasion. The car runs and drives fine though the drums brakes are inadequate for the power. Engine runs hard and clean. The hole in the hood is from a previous tunnel ram set up.
I've never dyno'd the car. My guess is at the crank the engine makes about 440 HP and 390 lbs ft torque. The car weighs 2700 lbs. without a driver.
I'm not interested in ANY trades of any kind. Do not contact me with ANY TRADE OFFERS. My asking price is $17,900 but I am flexible within reason.
