Classic Car Overview

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to present this 1966 Ford Fairlane for sale in the Milwaukee Showroom. While there are many iterations of the Fairlane that have come out to give the model legendary status, nothing says it like featuring one of the greatest engines under the hood to ever hit Fords vast lineup. The hood scoop on the fiberglass hood held down by hood pins eludes to the muscle car legend power plant that lies underneath it. Resting comfortably beneath it is a 427 cubic inch Side Oiler V8. The Side oiler is an important part of Shelby/Ford history as it is an iteration of the FE block that Carrol Shelby himself modified boring and stroking the block out while modifying the location of the oil pump for higher revving racing applications to make a healthy 485 horsepower. The more notable car that this motor came in was the Shelby Cobra 427S/C. The 427 is topped with dual-quad Edelbrock carburetors atop an aluminum intake and theyre fed with an upgraded Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump. The V8 is paired to a Top Loader 4-speed manual transmission giving the real feel of what it means to drive a muscle car. This muscle machine also comes with the original steering wheel and distributor to the car as well as enough paperwork on it to sink a battleship stored in a briefcase. To say that you would be driving a car that you dont see everyday is an understatement. Make sure you seize the opportunity to own a beautiful gloss black beauty that will stun everyone who lays eyes on it. This 1966 Ford Fairlane is available at our Milwaukee Showroom at Gateway Classic Cars and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com which includes 100+ HD photos and HD video. To see the car in person, it can be seen at our Milwaukee Showroom located at 9949 58th Place Suite 400, Kenosha WI 53144.
