Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

California car until 2016. Never seen snow and kept in dry storage. This is an original S-Code 390 GT with T-10 top-loader 4-speed, manual steering and drum brakes as equipped from the factory.  Owned in San Jose, CA since 1985. T-10 totally rebuilt. Body & paint completely restored with a very nice paint job. Top with (original) glass window replaced. 390 completely rebuilt with balanced crank and moderate cam. Numbers matching except for the heads. Heads were done by Bob Gromm Racing 1000 miles ago. Holley 830 double-pumper spread-bore. Interior restored to include re-paint of dash and metal on above new door panels, arm rests, carpet and thick sound/vibration deadening under the new carpet. Makes for a cool, quiet ride with the top down so you can hear the Flow-Masters. Suspension completely redone to include re-arc of leafs 1-added, new coils, all bushings, ball joints. Rides straight and solid without a rattle. Driven many miles to get it that way. This car is a reliable driver. I've driven it from San Jose to LA multiple trips and Reno for Hot Augusts Nights for at least 10 years; a total of 27,000 miles with many car shows in the mix. Aluminum radiator keeps it cool. Standard and electric fans. Converted to electronic ignition to get away from dual-points. Engine compartment rewired and painted in 2013. Power convertible top. Magnum 500 wheels. Highway gears.
