--Amaranto (Deep Red) with Beige leather interior and Tan carpeting, Restored, Long Nose, Torque Tube, Original Factory 6-carb car, 300 bhp, 3,286 cc overhead camshaft V-12 engine, six Weber 40 DCN/3 carburetors, five-speed manual, Documented by Massini and Ferrari Classiche Certified.Introduced in 1964, the 275 GTB was considered by many to be the finest production Ferrari ever built, combining the thoroughbred mechanical pedigree of its road racing forebears with sufficient creature comforts and a brand new fully independent rear suspension to produce a superlative grand touring automobile. The engine was based on Ferraris race-proven Colombo overhead camshaft V-12, now displacing of 3,285.7 cc to produce 280 bhp with the standard triple Weber carburetor setup. Fitment of six Weber 40 DNC/3 carburetors was offered as an option, increasing output to about 300 bhp! This is one such example.Collectors today divide the 275 GTBs into early (short nose) and late (long nose) cars. The changeover to a longer nose design was introduced at the 1965 Paris Salon. This 275 GTB with its long-nose, torque-tube, factory-fitted optional six Weber carburetors configuration is considered the most desirable 275 GTB road car specification.This 275 GTB/6C is an original European example completed May 1966 and delivered new to Garage Francorchamps SA in Belgium, June of 1966 was sold to its first owner, Freddy Dammann of Brussels, Belgium, 1968 Exported from Belgium to USA and sold to Walter D Ward of Los Angeles, CA who kept car for over 21 years, 1989 sold and exported from USA to Ralf Ludwig of Switzerland, 1998 Ludwig sold car to Tiziano Carugati Automobiles in Switzerland, 2003 Sold to Belgium, 2005 Sold to Carlo Incerti, Italy who undertook a full restoration with one of the worlds top Ferrari restoration facilities in Italy Carrozzeria Bachelli & Villa, 2024 sold to its most recent owner.Some notable history on this 275 GTB/6C: 2005 Ferrari Certificate of Authenticity issued, June 2006 - Driven at the 7th Annual Modena Cento Ore Classic, June 2007 - Shown during the Ferrari Factory 60th Anniversary Concours in Maranello and Fiorano placed 1st in class, July 2007 - Shown at the Salvarole-Terme Concours dElegance in Italy, Sept 2017 - Shown during the Ferrari Factory 70th Anniversary Concours in Maranello and Fiorano, May 2024 Shown at the IV Cavallino Concours in Modena, Italy, winner of Platinum Award.This GTB/6C is in absolutely superb, well detailed condition throughout and ready for concours or road use alike.
