1966 Dodge Polara

Every once in a blue moon we get a genuine Time capsule car. One that not only has incredibly low mileage on it, but one that has been properly stored, protected and maintained. One that has to be seen and driven to be believed.



This 1966 Dodge Polara, seen here in the preferred hardtop body style (no clunky frames around the windows or B pillar to disturb the clean lines) is just such a car. With just 3,919 miles on it and in condition to match, it was an awesome find.



Walk around the Dodges body and look very close and youll note the arrow-straight original body panels, original and still-gleaming paint, dazzling chrome and stainless-steel trim and rock-solid underside. Even the doors shut with a crisp thunk that bespeaks the condition of this car.



The original wheel covers along with the original bias-ply whitewall tires complete the Polaras captivating curb appeal. Although the tires are in great shape, wed advise replacing them due to age, not mileage.



Inside, the original black vinyl interior looks incredibly fresh as well, and the dash still sports the original Music Master AM radio along with plenty of metallic accents that are so 1960s cool. The car has the optional rear window defroster and the full bench seats bring back memories of when a car could comfortably seat six people.



Under the hood, the spirited 383 V8 sends its power through the automatic transmission and out to the rear wheels. Power steering and power brakes add to the driving ease of this roomy, full-size sedan.



Out on the road, the Polara is a smooth and quiet operator with plenty of power, a comfortable ride and easy-going handling. Take it to your favorite Cars and Coffee and this pristine Polara will stand out among all the Fords and Chevys.
