1966 Datsun 1600

This 1966.5 Datsun 1600 Roadster is a non-running project equipped with a 1.6 L inline-four and a 4-speed manual transmission. It has been stored on a covered carport in Georgia for around 27 years until moved to an indoor garage in October 2020. It is a complete car and will require refurbishment. The engine has not been started since 1995. The engine holds oil and coolant, no leaks and the crank turns. The radiator is currently empty. The transmission and rear end are full of fluids and not seized. Receipts for a transmission rebuild in early 90’s are included. The vehicle has a clean, Georgia title in a previous owners name.
Floor pans and trunk pan are solid. There are areas of rust common on these cars: where front fenders meet the doors and rocker panels. Otherwise surface body rust is minimal.
The front end was backed into in 1992, damage is shown. It comes with the hard top shown in the photos, there is also a complete, soft top frame with the remains of the cover attached.
Also included in the sale is a 1967 Datsun 1600 parts car. The parts car has had the fenders, doors and trunk lid removed. It is a 95% complete car. The top end of the engine has been dissembled. The remaining parts are in a box. The bottom end of the engine and drive train are complete. Some of the sheet metal on the car suffers from rust and corrosion but there is still much left without rust.
Additionally, included in this sale is a completely intact, 1967 Datsun 1600 SPL-311, 1.6 liter engine and four-speed transmission. The engine was running when pulled from a car in 2017. There is also a NOS 1967 Datsun 1600 SPL-311 hood available.
