1966 Chevrolet Impala Sedan

Thank you for looking at my ad. This was my grandmother‘s car that she purchased brand-new and gave to me a little over 20 years ago. This vehicle has been in one family and has always been garaged and taken care of. I don’t put the miles on her like I used to and somebody else needs to own her now because that’s what granny would want. The vehicle is located in the beautiful East Tennessee Cosby area. My grandmother purchased this car off the showroom floor in 1966 from Elkin Chevrolet in Elkin, NC.  She drove it until it was given to me in 2000.  On her last trip in her car, she was 94 years old and decided that she didn’t need to be driving any longer.  

While she had it, it was garage kept and had general maintenance and tires over the years.  The car was never involved in an accident or fender bender. 

When I received the car, I started a major renovation in 2003 – complete paint job, including trunk, trunk hood, engine hood with new fiber glass.  The serial number was matched to paint used by General Motors as it was painted in 1966. The interior upholstery has been replaced including seats, headliner, carpet, arm rests, and a new dash installed.  Most of the moldings, handles, emblems, mirrors, along with the front windshield has been replaced.  Both bumpers were replaced as well as the front grill.  I have kept all the original parts that were replaced.  I have the original rims, hubcaps, and the original jack equipment that came with the car in 1966. A/C is the original factory installed, along with the radio.  But I installed an upgraded sound system including an alternate battery source.

The car has it’s original 327 engine with only 94,500 miles.

Since I obtained the vehicle, it still has not had any fender benders or accidents and has always been garage kept.
