The finishing touches have been looked after so, in addition to its initial visual impact, theres a lot to admire as you draw closer. Clean glass accompanied by fresh rubber seals is on all sides of the cabin, both the front and back bumpers look great, the badging is sharp and nice, tight lines and even gaps surround the body panels from front to back. Your first impression upon seeing this unusually sharp Chevy will likely be to picture yourself behind the wheel in open air mode, but for those occasions when the weather wont cooperate, theres a fresh black vinyl convertible top standing by to raise into place for shelter that features a nice, clear glass rear windshield. This aristocrat of the asphalt features an inspired interior, as well. Its been refurbished while retaining a convincing stock look and its in great shape. The black vinyl covers on the front buckets and rear bench seat look fresh as can be and theyre bracketed by matching door panels in the same condition that cling tightly to their steel frames. The black steel surface of the dash area just beyond the original Impala steering wheel is smooth and even, and youll find clear, readable gauges inside its instrument cluster, as well as the original AM radio sitting at the center to lend its era-appropriate technology to your audio experience. Just above, the dash pad is arrow straight and shows no cracks - always a welcome sight in a classic outfitted with black upholstery, especially a convertible. The center console presents very well - its chrome accents and the silver-balled shifter sitting in its offset position within easy reach of the driver combine for a great look. The trunk area is spacious and very well detailed, with a full-size spare standing by should the unforeseen happen. In keeping with all its other aspects, the engine compartment has received all the attention it needs to bring it to a sharp form and sitting inside its clean, neat confines youll find a 350 cubic inch V8 thats dressed up with a chrome air cleaner over its 4-barrel carb, as well as a pair of matching valve covers. The engine carries a pair of double hump heads for added power, and its running strong and sounds great through its rams horn headers leading out to its dual exhaust. Sitting just behind it is a smooth- shifting 4-speed manual transmission to complete a drivetrain that offers just the classic driving experience this Impala deserves. Power steering and power brakes provide easy navigation and low effort stops as this impressively clean vintage Chevy cruises on its set of 15 stock wheels outfitted with BF Goodrich Silvertown radials.
