1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe - Matching-Numbers 327/300, Milano Maroon

The 1966 Sting Ray coupe is one of the most balanced cars in the Corvette catalog. The C2 body had been refined for four years by this point, the egg-crate grille and clean fender vents give it a purposeful look, and the coupe roofline remains the most collectible profile of the generation after the split-window. Finished in Milano Maroon, it is also one of the best color choices Chevrolet offered that year - deep, warm, and considerably less common than the reds and blues that dominate the market.

This car carries its matching-numbers 327 cubic-inch V8 rated at 300 horsepower, backed by a four-speed manual. That combination is the sweet spot for a lot of experienced Corvette people. The 300-horse 327 runs on pump gas, idles civilly, pulls strongly, and asks for none of the maintenance attention a solid-lifter engine demands.
