Classic Car Overview

1966 Corvette Coupe in original Mosport Green (982) and surviving with its original numbers matching drive train (showing 37,500 miles). 99% period correct with date coded parts throughout. This is an ABSOLUTELY NO RUST/ ROT free California Black Plate car (never left CA). Original GM body lines and gaps with no apparent modifications/lift kits/resto mods to the body or chassis. Has under gone a comprehensive mechanical and electrical frame on restoration with particular attention to originality/ functionality. Retains its original interior except front carpets. No water intrusion or rusted interior parts.
Options include the original 300HP/327, power glide transmission, power steering, power windows, A.I.R, Power antenna, tinted glass, AM-FM radio, 4 wheel disc brakes and standard vinyl interior.
Painstakingly rebuilt components include: 327/300HP engine, Power glide transmission, four wheel disc brakes, master cylinder, wiper motor, heater motor, alternator, power steering, head light motors, water pump, carburetor, starter/solenoid, voltage regulator, distributor, tachometer/speedometer cables, hood prop, hinges and latches. New exhaust system, (5) new tires on orig. Kelsey- Hayes wheels, and engine/ transmission mounts. Engine wiring harnesses refurbished and the entire electrical system inspected for connection issues. Gas tank/sending unit are minty.
Dozens of new small parts from gaskets, seals, bearings, bushings, head light gears, wiring components, bulbs, distributor parts, hoses and rubber pieces, trans and engine overhaul items, and matching paints ..new parts from ZIP/Corvette Central, etc..etc..etc.
Doors are tightly hung (no rock). Headlights fit nicely at corners along with the hood. Most suspension and running gear are the original GM. Original riveted ball joints, rotors, front/rear springs and other major components indicate a minimum of dealer/owner intrusion or replacement. All glass, trim, chrome, emblems and door pulls are clear, bright and minty..no rust, peeling or scratches. Eventually the car could use fresh paint but appears vintage aged. It received a second lacquer paint some 30+ years ago. Original bonding lines still visible. Paint may be thin and wearing and show DIY body touchups but this vehicle is ready for cruise nights without spending a dime. Put the key in and drive as all potential high dollar issues have been addressed. NOTE! 90% of advertised cars have nice cover-up paint work but require thousands of dollars to address the hidden mechanical and rot issues. .this car is the opposite and retains its original GM applied lacquer paint beneath.
Please Email me for a list of all of the chassis/data plate/ and part numbers. I will provide as many images as requested and also can provide a video. I believe you could purchase my car sight unseen and would end up with an extremely solid, reliable, original, rust free representation of a Real Deal 66 Corvette than you will ever find online. The reason...I purchased this car for myself after traveling to CA to view it. I am not a dealer, and C2 Corvettes and detail work are my thing. Bottom line is that these 60 year old relics will require thousands of $$$ in parts/labor and mechanical work once they reach your door. I am also the second titled owner. Car still retains its 1966 CA black plates and is registered in CA..If you can't FIND my phone number it is in MA 978 774-2743
