1966 Chevrolet Corvette
Convertible Car for sale by Hendrick Performance in Charlotte, North Carolina 28262
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
**** THIS VEHICLE WILL BE OFFERED FOR AUCTION AT THE GREENSBORO CLASSIC CAR AUCTION - NOVEMBER 5 - NOVEMBER 7, 2020 ****
This striking 1966 Corvette Sting Ray roadster is finished in Silver Pearl with a black top and silver vinyl interior and has been meticulously cared for by all its previous owners. The most recent family had the sports car for over 20 years (since 1999) and performed a superb body-on restoration 10 years ago that still provides a stunning presentation today. All of the bright-work on the car, from the bumpers to the window trim, produces a mirror-like reflection. The same attention to detail that was shown on the exterior during the restoration is also apparent on the interior - the entire original silver interior looks fantastic and shows just like the day the car was originally built. Powered by its numbers matching 327-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine, the Corvette shifts smoothly through the gears of the four-speed manual transmission. The side pipe exhaust system makes all the right sounds at any speed. On the inside, an AM/FM push button radio is nestled in the dash as well as the factory clock. This Sting Ray convertible rides in style with its knock-off wheels on Coker redline radial tires. This beautiful small-block Corvette is in excellent running order and is the perfect car for open top driving so be sure not to miss this opportunity!
