1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Convertible Car for sale in Overland Park, Kansas 66204
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
At the age of 35, I purchased this Wonderful 1966 Corvette in September of 1969. I have had the joy of driving it for 50 years. I can no longer give it the TLC it deserves, so I am passing it on to the next loving owner.
In 1980, due to the removal of lead from the gas, I made a few mods. I swapped the 11.25 domed pistons for flat 10.5s, installed 1.6 roller rocker arms, installed the stock 327/350 cam shaft and upgraded to a Mallory Solid State ignition kit. Have never been sorry. Pulls better than the original setup and NO knocks on regular gas.
Getting the design from the 1959 GM Mule, I built a headrest with similar lines. A real show stopper. Problem, can’t put a top on with the Headrest so she has been wearing a Head-Rest most of her life.
I also had a front Tow-Bar built and it required ‘NO’ mods to the car.
I hope the new owner gets as much joy from it as I have.
Its just a Matching Numbers Rally Red Driver with a Rally Red Hard Top, a White Soft Top and a White Tonneau Cover. CHEERS I supplied a VIN of 194676S126047F0627HE, but the system said it was not valid. I think it is correct.
