The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview
1965 VW Bus from Germany. This green and white 11-window Microbus has been a fun part of our family the past 15 years, taking us on ice-cream runs or cruising around the neighborhood, but the kids are all grown and it’s time to find this bus its next caring home with a new owner. Buy this Bus and you'll be driving the coolest VW on the block!
This Microbus is a good daily driver for going around town and getting lots of smiles, but isn't a freeway cruiser. We replaced the engine and related parts in 2006, which now have about 500 miles on it. This year, we replaced the 12v battery, the starter, plus steering tie rods and draglink.
We don't know about this VW's early life, but it's a California bus from Germany and in nice shape for a classic air-cooled from the mid-60's. After we got the bus, we installed new upholstery. It has none of the safety features seen in modern cars, so we added seat belts to keep the kids in their seats. Seating is 3-2-3. We added a manual back-up light and beeper. The bus is not a walk-through, but a previous owner had cut the middle of the interior panel to imitate a walk-through. We added 2 fans in that cut section to give the kids in the back good ventilation on hot days.
Current odometer reading: 6,527. I think the original colors were Samtgrun L512, Blauweiss L289.
The stock engine was 1493cc, but the current engine may be 1776cc. Of course at 55 years old, this bus is sold AS IS, with no warranty.
