Im offering my 1965 Backdraft Racing Shelby Cobra replica, a modern, high-quality continuation-style build that delivers the look, sound, and experience of the original while being far more usable and reliable. The car is titled as a 1965 and is currently located in Los Angeles, CA. This is a turn-key example that has been properly sorted and enjoyed.

This Backdraft is built on a modern performance chassis with independent suspension, power disc brakes, and rack-and-pinion steering, making it far more composed and confidence-inspiring than most vintage-era cars. Power comes from a Ford Crate 427 V8 paired with a 5 speed transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The engine starts easily, pulls hard through the rev range, and sounds exactly like a Cobra should. The transmission shifts cleanly, and the car tracks straight and feels tight.

The exterior is finished in silver with white stripes, and presents very well. The paint shows nicely with a deep gloss and only minor imperfections consistent with use. The body gaps are good, the brightwork is in nice condition, and the car sits properly on its wheels with relatively new tires. The side pipes are in good condition and deliver the proper, unapologetic soundtrack.

Note: This is one of the few cobras that has been legally registered in California via the sb100 certification. Smog Exempt.
