1965 Rambler Marlin Fastback Restomod The Rambler Marlin (later AMC Marlin) is a two-door fastback automobile produced in the United States by American Motors Corporation from 1965 to 1967. A halo car for the company, it was marketed as a personal luxury car. American Motors billed the Marlin as a new addition to the companys self-styled Sensible Spectaculars model line. Backed by extensive advertising and merchandising, the car was officially announced on 10 February 1965, and unveiled in Rambler dealer showrooms on 19 March 1965. The Rambler Marlin remains a rare sight in the world of classic cars, but the cars utterly unique appearance makes them a welcome visitor to any venue. The most striking feature is the sloped fastback roofline that terminates at the rear bumper. That long aerodynamic teardrop shape harkened back to mid-century designs.
