The 356 C debuted in 1963 as the final and most polished version of Porsches first production car with a range of enhancements over its predecessors, including upgraded ZF steering and suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and an optional 12-volt electrical system. Aside from the flagship quad-camshaft Carrera 2 variant, the 356 C was offered with a standard 1.6-liter flat-four and a more spirited, higher-compression Super Carrera or SC engine, as seen in this example from the coupes final year of production.

The 1965 Porsche 356 SC Coupe offered here was completed in March 1965 and dispatched to the Mac Han dealership in Waltham, Massachusetts, according to a copy of its original Kardex on file, which lists the first owner as Samuel Youngman of Scituate, Massachusetts, who would become a flight surgeon and captain in the US Navy. It left the factory finished as it is today in the uncommon color of Irish Green over a black leatherette interior and fitted with a drivers side exterior mirror, tinted windows, and Michelin tires.

The Porsche 356 Registry lists subsequent owners in Los Angeles and New Mexico. Understood to have been restored prior to the consignor acquiring it in 2023, the Porsche retains its numbers-matching engine and gearbox and would be an excellent choice for showing or touring at any number of events.
