Classic Car Overview

1965 Porsche 356C Outlaw Coupe Chassis No. 221813 Engine No. 717146 - Matching Porsche - Certificate of Authenticity Completed - February 22, 1965 According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, Chassis 221813 was completed on February 22, 1965, and was delivered with ventilated chrome wheels, a left-side exterior mirror, and Dunlop tires. Today, this 356C is finished to a GT Outlaw tradition, merging period-correct GT style with performance and refinements to create an engaging drivers 356. Finished in a striking color combination - Bali Blue with a Red interior, the 1965 356C was the final evolution and has been tastefully enhanced, retaining its matching engine. The Bali Blue paintwork is in beautiful condition, with excellent gaps and panel fit. The exterior has optional leather hood straps, Marchal driving lights, GT aluminum bumper trim, GT side mirror, and a Sebring exhaust system. Paint Protection Film has been applied to the front nose, bumper, and hood for added protection. The interior is nicely detailed with Speedster seats trimmed in red upholstery with plaid cloth inserts and red seat belts, leather GT window pulls, complemented by CoCo mats, factory VDO instrumentation, radio delete plate, Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, and roll bar painted in the body color. Date-coded KPZ wheels are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato 185 70 R15 tires to complete the 356 GT stance. Mechanically, powered by the matching 1600cc flat-four engine (Type 616/15) producing 80 horsepower paired to a manual 4-speed transmission (Type 741) with a four-wheel disc braking system. Respected local Southern California specialists have thoroughly sorted this 356C. The engine top-end was recently rebuilt, including rebuilt cylinder heads, new pistons and cylinders, rod bearings, all the engine tin was powder coated, and the hardware was CAD plated to factory specification by European Collectibles. The 4-speed manual transmission was rebuilt by Geared to Serve You in Ontario, California, with new synchros, main shaft bearing, pinion bearing, ring gear bolts, wheel bearings, gasket set, and the ring and pinion was set up. A 12-volt electrical conversion was completed by Oscars Auto Electric in Costa Mesa, California, and a new battery was installed in 2024. The undercarriage is solid, rust-free, and has been stripped to steel and detailed, including the suspension components, performed by European Collectibles. This is a phenomenal 356C Coupe to drive. It has plenty of horsepower with a smooth-shifting transmission that was recently rebuilt, along with a four-wheel disc braking system that stops the 356 perfectly straight. Complete with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, two keys, a spare tire, and recent service records. An excellent opportunity to acquire an Outlaw 356C T6 Coupe finished in a stunning color combination with upgraded performance and superior drivability.
