Classic Car Overview

1965 Pontiac GTO

This is the car that started the Muscle Car revolution- the first generation Pontiac GTO. And this is the best of the best – a red and white 1965 GTO convertible with stacked headlights, the high performance 389 cubic inch tri–power V8 engine producing 360 horsepower and a four speed manual transmission. This GTO is equipped with the correct 389 engine and is equipped with rallye wheels, new red line tires, power steering, power convertible top, spare tire and jack and a wood grain steering wheel. Upgrades include a hood mounted Pontiac tachometer, seat belts, a dual braking system for safety, a manual choke for easy starting, a Pioneer radio with CD, a second set of floor mats and new white vinyl upholstery and a white convertible top.

The current owner has possessed the car for ten years and has retained all the service and repair records adding to over $9,000 since that time. The car has been driven sparingly on warm summer days to car shows or ice cream runs. It is not driven in the rain and is stored every winter. The odometer reads 34,761 miles.

The paint is in generally excellent condition although there are a few chips The interior is newer and in excellent shape. Chrome is quite good. The vehicle starts easily and runs as it should. The engine is powerful and the transmission shifts well. In terms of condition, this car can be considered an outstanding driver; it will stand tall at local car shows and (attention Detroiters) will be the perfect cruiser for the world famous Woodward Dream Cruise in August. 237075P293230.
