The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 Hardtop with a stunning Montero Red exterior, chrome trim, and a fully restored Parchment vinyl interior.  You’ll find a HO 421 cid V-8 engine under the hood and a Turbo Hydromatic three-speed automatic transmission and a Safe-T-Track 3.08:1 limited-slip differential, along with a tri-power intake and carburetor, power assist drum brakes, power steering, an AM radio, 14″ Hurst five lug wheels, and Hurst equipped 2+2 badging.

The trim tag decodes as follows: Build Date: 03B – Second week of March, Style: 65 25237 – Two-door Sport Coupe, Body: BA 3012 – Doraville, Georgia assembly, Trim: 236 – Parchment Interior trim, Paint: RR – Montero Red.

Extensively Restored to Show Stopping Quality

This 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 2 Door Hardtop originally sold at Dingman Pontiac-Cadillac out of Ocala, Florida and the previous owner has spent a small fortune overhauling every aspect of this prestigious classic.  The replacement motor was fully restored along with the fuel tank, the radiator, fuel lines, coolant hoses, spark plugs and wires, the ignition, suspension, brakes, shocks, ball joints, and the entire interior.  The rear wheel wells were also widened by the previous owner to allow clearance for larger tires.  The result is a tremendous, finely tuned classic muscle car that performs at awe-inspiring levels on the highway or around town.

Additionally, this 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 Hardtop is nearly immaculate in person with excellent body lines, near flawless chrome trim, show quality paint, and a tremendous stance.  From what we can see, everything works well on this classic except for the factory clock, and the fully restored parchment interior makes this classic truly ready for the center stage.  The engine compartment is also immaculate and highly correct in appearance, with a great hum to the motor and proper timing. A reproduction window sticker, the original build sheet, the PHS Report, owners manuals, and assorted memorabilia  are included in the sale. This will clearly be someone’s dream ride since vehicles of this caliber almost never surface on the open market.
