Classic Car Overview

1965 Plymouth Belvedere - Street Legal Pro Street The Belvedere name was initially a trim level for the hardtop version of the Plymouth Cranbrook. When 1954 came around the Belvedere became its own model and continued as Plymouths full size automobile until 1962 when they were downsized. This was the trend at the time as auto makers were slowly entering the muscle car era. This 1965 Plymouth Belvedere is a super unique custom that clearly has had a ton invested. It has 18,000 miles since built and despite being very capable has never been raced. The paint/body work is in excellent condition and lets just say its on fire. The bright Red paint has a beautiful finish and is accented throughout with airbrushed True Flames with skulls. The detail is pretty amazing with the flames running the whole length of the body and even on the roof. Even the back windshield has a custom flame tinting that you can see through from the interior but has a really cool look from the outside. You certainly arent going to have any trouble standing out from the crowd in this thing. The original style chrome bumpers have a great shine and the car wears a custom aluminum wing on the tail. The rear decklid is fully removable with quick turn fasteners and the hood has a large center scoop. In the trunk is where you will find the relocated (new) battery with cut off and added fuel cell. The car is tubbed and the trunk lined with an aluminum finish. Under the rear wing is a parachute and under that a set of wheelie bars. The car rides on Mickey Thompsons and turning those tires is a date correct 440 V8 motor that runs very strong. The engine compartment is nicely painted Red and the engine dressed up with Mopar Performance valve covers. One of the cool features of the motor is the rare Weiand cross ram high rise intake. This intake was a prototype specifically made for NASCAR that was never returned and found its way onto this 440. Despite being a cross ram it is actually topped with a single Dominator 4 barrel carburetor. This is a very cool set up and sure to be a topic of conversation at any car show you attend. Paired with the motor is a TCI 727 automatic with manual valve body and 2500 stall converter. The rear is a Dana 60 with 4:56 gears and Strange axles. If you desire, burn outs are easily in your future with a 4 link line lock. The car runs nice and cool with an aftermarket aluminum radiator and electric fan. It received a recent tune up with new plugs/wires and the car runs great. It also has a starter button on the firewall so you can easily make adjustments while working under the hood. Inside the car has high back bucket racing seats with a 5 point Simpson racing harness. It has a full roll gauges that is painted the color of the body and it extends into the trunk. The aluminum tubs fill up the rear compartment and between them is your racing companion, a full skeleton complete with helmet and glasses. The skull theme can be found all over this car
