1965 Plymouth Belvedere
Coupe Car for sale in San antonio, Texas 78213
San Antonio, TX 78213
From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.
Classic Car Overview
Check out this Beautiful American Classic 2 door hardtop with Style , Big Block Power and Creature Comforts including AC & Heat , Power steering and front disc brakes along with an 800 watt sound system !
I started in 2017 with a pretty solid 2 door hardtop Belvedere II and wanted the car to maintain its original character yet be reliable and super comfortable to drive and enjoy . I finished the car to this point at the end of 2018 and have had a good year to really enjoy it and it has been a Blast !
A really cool thing about this car is when you go out cruising or even to shows - No one has a Belvedere II that looks and sounds like this one and it steals the limelight from even the Mopar crowd with Chargers , Cudas and Darts because most people don't know what it is !!
I have been professionally and personally building cars and trucks for more than 25 years from Driver quality to Show car and by that I mean I do 100% of the work myself - Paint , Upholstery , Engine , Suspension , Stereo and Electrical and so I can answer ALL of your questions about this unique build and do have a folder with every penny spent on this car and its over 30K !
Check out my site - CLASSICCARSANDTRUCKSOFTEXAS.COM for even more pics and information
and you can also see the COOL C10 SILVERADO I have up for sale as well !
I started with a 1964 413 Street Wedge and I punched it .030 over with all new internals including Speed Pro pistons , Comp Cam Thumper package including Pro Magnum Billet valve train with pushrods and it is an adjustable system . 6 Quart pan with High Volume Melling oil pump ,Custom cylinder head work and it does have an Edelbrock high rise with 750 Perfomer carb. , electronic ignition , Hedman Headers with dual Flowmasters and sounds Bad to the Bone !!
Upgraded 250 amp billet alternator with all new wiring inside to lighting and cluster. Custom ECP Cooling module with dual high flow fans ( runs 210 with AC on and 100 degrees outside ) Engine has right at 4000 miles and the car has the 727A model Torqueflite transmission and 3:55 Suregrip differential which cruises at 70 with about 3000 rpm .
Replaced steering system including power steering box , lines and linkage , QA1 Tubular front suspension and manual drilled and slotted front disc brakes ( pic shows power Booster but I removed it ) , Correct Big Block Torque arms and rear leaf springs with slider performance perches instead of the old wobbly shackles . Tapered bearings and seals for axles , and this car has the big 11' rear drums . I coated the engine compartment and underhood with the sound deadener since the yellow was a bear to keep clean and it also cut back on noise too . Fully functional 990 hood Scoop really looks cool and helps the car to breathe !
I did the interior with Genuine Leather and Alcantara inserts , double dyna mat and HD insulation for a plush and super comfortable feel inside while cruising , custom center console for resting your arm and stashing the head unit for the 800 Watt system and the amp and sub are neatly tucked in the trunk . I kept the factory gauges and added the trio for backup where the radio delete plate would be . Vintage air and heat and it is a plush ride and will seat 4 quite comfortably !!
All new BFG TA Radials 255/60/15s all the way around with the Lone Star Mag wheels that look so nice on this car !
The paint is the factory yellow color and is probably a 10 year old respray but shows quite nicely even for an old paint job and aside from the rear quarters having been patched in the lowers and a couple of small spots I fixed n the floor she is pretty darn solid and does have 100 % of the correct trim !
The car is valued and Insured for 35K by State farm and at their discretion not mine just like it sits !
I have a clean and clear Texas Title in my name and this car is ready to roll and so if you are Serious and have CASH to wheel and deal - don't hesitate to leave me a message with a phone number and I will get right back in touch with you and will be more than happy to answer ALL of your questions and concerns and if it is your cell phone I can send you a text first to let you know what its about and then we can talk live at our convenience !
I have Antique registration which can be transferred to a Texas resident at the local tax office but do also have a current Inspection from Texas ( 10/3/2019 ) so a regular Texas registration can be had also . If you are an out of state buyer - I will get your information and keep my plates - no problem !!
