If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
I have for sale a 1965 MGB finished in British Racing Green over Black leather seats! This vehicle is most certainly a work in progress, but is a great start! Mechanically, it has been thoroughly refurbished in my nearly 5 years of ownership, with valve job, gaskets, seals, mounts, conversion to negative earth ground, front and rear brakes, light suspension work, and much more being done. I've only driven about 2,000 miles since taking possession of the vehicle.
THE STORY: ~25 years ago, my father in law was gifted this vehicle by my mother in law for an anniversary present. My wife grew up being driven to school, practice, etc in the MG and always enjoyed the experience. When he sold it, she was extremely bummed out, a piece of childhood gone.....that is, until I found the new owner and struck a deal with him unbeknownst to her. the plan was to keep it forever, but as plans go....
THAT SAID, I have been constantly refurbishing the vehicle as time and funds allow to bring it to its present state. Mechanically, THIS MG IS THE NICEST AROUND, with little to no rust, and running/shifting/driving in 100% perfect order. In fact, the expert mechanic that's done a lot of the big work to it says it's one of the nicest driving ones he's seen(reference upon request). COSMETICALLY, there is work to be done, but it is in good enough shape to show off and I get constant compliments.
valve job, gaskets, front and rear brakes, tires, turn signal switch, negative ground conversion, spark plugs, wires, harnesses, motor and tranny mounts, side plate seal, light suspension work all completed in recent years to the tune of thousands of $$. headlights, tail lights, turn signals, wipers, etc all in working order. Seats are in excellent shape, tonneau cover is in excellent shape, and the convertible top(sits in the trunk) in perfect, like new condition.
speedometer and odometer do not operate currently, the radio doesn't work as it wasn't converted to negative ground when the rest of the car was. cosmetically, a few blemishes across the hood and trunk, a few little dings, scuffs, etc.
Feel free to reach out with ANY questions whatsoever, I have, or can obtain, many records and information about the car! I AM OPEN TO OFFERS.
