This early-production 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible wears its factory-correct Raven Black paint over a red interior, as verified by its door tag. Under the hood, this first-generation pony car pairs classic mechanical simplicity with a few fun items! Row through the gears with a 3-speed manual transmission while keeping an eye on the steering-column-mounted Rally Pac gauge cluster. Enjoy open-top motoring at the push of a button with its power convertible top, all accompanied by a deep note from a dual exhaust system equipped with Flowmaster mufflers!
BODY OVERVIEW:
This Mustang is an older restoration, but it stands tall today with clean body lines and well-aligned panel gaps along the doors, fenders, and quarter panels. Brightwork including the front grille emblem, side scoop trim, and chrome bumpers show a bright appearance with uniform alignment. The power convertible top fits well and raises and lowers smoothly, providing a nice fit when up and a clean profile when stowed. Despite being an older restoration, the body is remarkably free of dings and dents, and shows beautifully under the glossy black paint.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
Finished in its factory-specified Raven black, the exterior paint delivers a deep finish that highlights the sharp body contours of the first-generation Mustangs design. A close walk-around reveals typical light swirl marks and minor age-consistent imperfections standard for a vehicle that has seen active road time rather than total isolation in the years since it has been restored. Overall, the finish maintains a strong gloss that holds up well under direct sunlight and presents very well!
