Classic Car Overview
Inside, we find a relatively luxurious interior as compared to the original GT350s stripped-down, no-frills motif. Comfy, supportive, Mach 1-style bucket seats are separated by a center console/armrest that even includes a pair of cupholders! An elegant power-assisted, wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel adds the perfect splash of contrast against the sea of black vinyl. Just beyond that wheel, we find a pair of column-mounted Rally-Pac-style gauges, separated by a cruise control module, with a five-pod gauge cluster just beyond. A Kenwood AM/FM/Cassette head unit offers a bit more modern functionality, while the Classic Auto Air HVAC controls allow for the blessed relief of air conditioning on the hottest days. The rear seats can fold down to offer a wealth of cargo space whenever you need room for luggage for that long road trip.
Under that scooped hood, we find an engine bay that would make Carroll Shelby nod in approval. Under the Cobra air cleaner sits a built 347 cubic-inch stroker V-8 engine. With MSD electronic fuel injection, long-tube headers, and a Dynomax dual exhaust, this small block sounds as good as any motor from the Golden Age. That power is routed through an AOD four-speed automatic transmission before heading out to the Ford 9-inch, 3.50-geared, Posi rear end that transfers those ponies to the pavement via a set of 15-inch wheels shod in BFGoodrich tires measuring 275/65R-15. At the same time, a narrower set of power-assisted 215/60R-15 BFGs handles steering duties up front.

This 1965 Ford Mustang GT350 Tribute rides on an aftermarket suspension featuring a four-link rear with coilovers, while a pair of front disc brakes stands ready to scrub off speed whenever called upon. Although imitation is supposedly the highest form of flattery, driving this car around, by the number of compliments youre likely to receive from any number of enthusiasts, might rival that statement.
