1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Fully Restored & Highly Modified 418ci Stroker 5-Speed Eleanor Tribute

Offered on consignment through Vail s Classic Cars, this 1965 Mustang Fastback is a no-expense-spared, highly modified build that underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration completed in 2016. The car has only been driven 2,160 miles since the restoration was completed, making it a ver fresh and lightly used build. This car blends iconic Fastback styling with modern performance, drivability, and comfort.

Power comes from a 351 Windsor stroked to 418 cubic inches, professionally built by Vails Classic Cars. At 1,953 miles the the engine was dyno tested and produced 508 horsepower, features a serpentine belt system and electric fan. A full service has been completed to the engine to prepare it for the sale. Power is delivered through a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission to a fabricated 9-inch rear end equipped with a G-Bar suspension system and adjustable shocks.

The suspension and chassis have been comprehensively upgraded with a shock tower delete, Mustang II front suspension, coilover setup, power rack and pinion steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes. Structurally, the car has received extensive metal work including new frame rails, rockers, quarters, inner and outer fender wells, doors, and fenders, resulting in a very solid, well-sorted Fastback.

Finished in Super Bright white base/clear paint with Jet black center and side stripes, all stripes are painted. Over 2,000 man-hours were invested in the bodywork and paint alone. The car features a fiberglass Eleanor E2 body kit, fully molded in for a seamless appearance, along with a fiberglass hood and deck lid, giving it the unmistakable Eleanor-inspired look.

The interior is finished with a full custom TMI interior, including TMI seats, one-piece headliner, dash pad, center console, and door panels. Comfort and convenience upgrades include:
