I strive to describe this vehicle accurately with detailed photos, but it is a used, classic vehicle sold as-is with no warranties. As I am not a professional mechanic, undetected issues may exist. A pre-purchase inspection by a qualified expert is strongly recommended, and I'm happy to assist with this. If you're new to classic cars, please reach out. Classic Car Overview

1965 Ford Mustang C-Code
1-Family Owner California Car

Nice one-family-owned 1965 Ford Mustang. This California car was purchased new at San Bruno Ford. This 1965 Mustang coupe, Rangoon Red with Red vinyl interior, equipped with a 289-2V V8 and C-4 automatic transmission, was built on March 30, 1965, at the San Jose plant. It has been loved and cared for by the same family since new. Includes repair receipts, owners manual and a clear, California title.

Around 3,500 miles ago in 2009, the car received a thoughtful refurbishment of the mechanicals and interior, making it strong and reliable as well as very comfortable to drive.

The 289 V8 runs strong with plenty of power, and the factory C4 automatic shifts great. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt at 113k miles, with only 3,500 miles added since. At that time, the carburetor, radiator, and entire cooling system were replaced, along with the starter and other ancillary items, and the compartment was cleaned and painted. A brand new battery was recently installed as well.

The interior was beautifully refurbished, including carpet, headliner, seating, panels, cards, dash, bezel, and more. It includes a removable center console with storage, armrest, phone cubby, and cupholders. Systems are in good working order, making it very comfortable to drive. The trunk is tidy as well, with mat, spare, jack, and lug nut wrench.

Outside, the car remains largely original with mostly original trim, good chrome, glass, and lenses, and its older repaint shows fine with normal wear and use, imperfect and aged, yet still has a nice shine. The floors, rocker panels, and body are aboslutly rust-free except for a small area at the front lower portion of the drivers door, common to these cars.

This is a mostly original, one-family-owned California Mustang thoughtfully refurbished, nicely sorted, and ready to enjoy as-is.
