Classic Car Overview
When it comes time to construct a new display piece for our showroom floor we have always looked for rare and valuable pieces of automotive history. Over the years we have selected high end Luxury cars, Shelbys, Corvettes, 4x4s and Vintage trucks from the 40s through the 70s. This time we took a different approach, we decided to build this vehicle as if we were ordering it new back in 1965. We selected everything from the color scheme to the interior appointments and running gear, as well as equipping the car with all of our favorite options. We selected Silver Blue Metallic for the exterior with a crisp white top and matching GT lower body stripes. The upgraded GT theme continues with lower fender emblems, grill mounted driving/fog lamps, GT fender badging, chrome plated Styled Steel wheels and dual stainless Trumpet exhausts passing through the lower rear valence panel. The upgraded deluxe Pony interior is also Silver Blue with White inserts, we chose to retain the rare bench seat with fold-down center armrest, a comfort upgrade in our opinion. The wood-grained steering wheel is of the deluxe variety which goes nicely with the wood grained accents on the instrument panel and glove box facias....the upgraded 5-gauge instrumentation cluster came standard with the GT and deluxe Interior packages. On the steering column is a combination tachometer and electric clock known as a Rally-Pac , a GT option. A Retro Sound upgraded AM-FM Bluetooth audio system has also been selected as it fits perfectly in the factory offset dash openings and we have installed Hush Mat sound and heat insulation on the interior panels and firewall. Under the hood sits a 289ci 4bbl V8 engine with 210HP which is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Updates include a Pertronix electronic ignition, disc brakes w/dual reservoir and power steering. To keep things cool under the hood we have installed a H.D. Aluminum Radiator with overflow tank, fan shroud and clutch fan. A modern Vintage Air under dash A/C system has also been added to keep things comfortable inside the cabin. This Mustang is an example of one of our comprehensive restorations where the safety and reliability upgrades seamlessly integrate to an otherwise stock presentation. 289CI/210HP V8 4BBL Engine 3-Speed Automatic Transmission Power Steering Disc Brakes w/Dual Reservoir Master Cylinder Aluminized Dual Exhausts GT Stainless Trumpet Tips GT Lower Rear Valence GT Fog Lamps GT Fender Badging Chrome Styled Steel Wheels WSW Radial Tires Power Convertible Top w/Boot Deluxe Pony Two-Tone Interior Door Mounted Courtesy Lamps LH Remote Outside Mirror Day-Night Inside Mirror Bench Seat w/Fold-Down Center Armrest We build these display cars for marketing purposes and to provide a physical example of our craftsmanship.
