1965 Mustang 2+2 A Code with the dated 289cid with very strong compression, has the desired 4-speed transmission, here is a very rare piece presented with the as factory production standards, truly this 2+2 is a famous design piece with a just striking modern lines as used in the Shelby GT 350s...here is restored to as built standards with a 4-speed transmission, now presented to very top standards with both with cosmetics and upgraded with new fresh mechanicals, very rare as this has the gorgeous and striking, freshly prepped, just striking Rangoon Red (J) color and the Atlanta (21) DSO that are so very rare being exactly as factory produced, setting forth today with the outstanding solid original body, has the great original detailed under chassis, a serious Driven Show car, has the new set of SSBC front disc brakes with a GT master cylinder, here a real find for serious Mustang collectors and the knowledgeable Mustang historians for such a great 2+2, Fraser Dante is excited to own such a terrific piece, this is the original, proper dated, very strong 289cid engine with the correct factory Autolite 4100 4 barrel show carburetor plus the brand new, desirable, hard to get and expensive Edelbrock AVS2 500cfm carburetor just installed is included in the package, has the full new H pipe aluminized dual exhaust system, also this has the desired factory 4-speed transmission with the correct factory lockout shifter, all this shows the fine history of this low production 2+2, a very rare car with the original no rust great body and the fender stampings and original data tag, a just really fantastic body and chassis that are factory original, the sides are laser straight, simply a really gorgeous restored Driven Show, note the powerplant shows that this has rebuilt with just great even compression and the very clean heads and rockers checked at Fraser Dante, believed to be the original correct A Code 225 horsepower 289cid engine as it is dated correctly, the heads are even the very rare same day casting, this engine has just really outstanding great compression, this came with the correct factory Ford C5 intake and the proper Autolite 4100 4v carburetor, that comes with the car, now an added plus is the just installed new, the very expensive and very hard to get Edelbrock AVS2 500 cfm electric choke carburetor is now set up for great driving, this very expensive AVS2 500cfm electric choke unit is so hard to get in the parts market today as it is in such great demand, both carbs are part of the package, full professional tune, there is a current video of the 2+2 driving at Fraser Dante, Very important is that this has just a really terrific red oxide as factory top show quality, freshly detailed original floors under chassis, very hard to find in this condition today, all of the new paint done a few years ago along with fresh detailing and the buffing that is recently done, note that this even has the original Data Tag for authenticity, since this was a serious collection type static show car, then the car has been in said collection when received at Fraser Dante with the older tires, now new installed are gorgeous 1965 14 7 styled steel chrome show wheels with the red center caps and chrome lug nuts, this has now the great E70x14 Firestone Super Sport single red line bias ply show tires that are great for the show presentation, OR now one could choose the brand new Kumho Solus T/A 195/75R14 Blackwall radial tires on brand new 1965 14 5.5 styled steel chrome wheels that many people like on the 2+2 fastback. History: very hard to find such a solid early rare Mustang 2+2 produced with the factory A code and the 4 speed transmission with factory shifter with lockout and being the desirable Atlanta (21) DSO, it is still here in Atlanta...a really true top driven restored show car, this exceptional Mustang has all the original Ford fenders, rear quarters as best we can ascertain, this is believed to have virtually all original body pieces, this is a rare 1965 Mustang 2+2 that has the exceptional under chassis with the red oxide floors and the original body panels, important here is a very top quality Mustang body and under chassis that will pass the tough European standards of being the original and restored factory floors and top metal quality, a piece for the demanding collector who wants the best quality of a rare 2+2 A code build with authentic parts, see that lots of numbers and the dates are taken by Fraser Dante and posted to authenticate the rare factory condition, see the 1965 Mustang Owners Manual for show and maintenance, Engine: this terrific 289cid engine was just previously rebuilt by the initial restorer from his information given to Fraser Dante and then put into a static collection for many years, we are told this did only 100 miles when Fraser Dante found the car, then when acquired by Fraser Dante, a full check of the engine and numbers was now accomplished, the full list of numbers just pulled that are part of this report, here is really a high point on this restored 1965 Mustang A code 2+2 is that it has the rare, very correct and fully dated, rebuilt original 289cid engine with C5AE-6015-E casting that is proper, even the hydraulic lifter 289 heads are both factory dated the same day with 4.g.27 stamping that is outstanding, the intake is the Ford C5OE-9425-C with the restored Autolite 4100 4v carburetor that came with the car, now that carburetor is used and sent for show use and adding to the investment value of his rare 2+2, now Fraser Dante installed with the new carb fuel intake and electric choke set up is the very expensive, very hard to get Edelbrock AVS2 500 cfm electric choke carburetor for terrific street performance installed by our techs, makes the engine work so well see the Installation Manual, this engine has now the just taken really great dry/cold compression taken with 140 to 150 lbs. across in a dry/cold reading
